I’ve always loved connecting with other parents of children with autism, and I would be happy to hear from you. However, please note that I am just another parent trying to figure things out, and I’m not able to offer recommendations for residential care, therapy, diet, medical, educational or health issues. What I can suggest is to contact your state’s Autism Society, http://autism-society.org/ and choose your state from the drop-down menu; contact your state’s DD services, http://www.oregon.gov/DHS/dd/ (this is for Oregon, but your state should have a similar site, just Google “DD services [your state]); and lastly, contact Easter Seals http://www.easterseals.com/site/PageServer?pagename=Advanced_Affiliate_Search, as many of their locations offer respite care and other helpful services.
