Behaviors can be normal or not depending on intensity, duration, place, etc. etc. My daughter spent months of her early life only answering to whichever character she was currently enamored with. Alice (in Wonderland) for 3 months, Dorothy (of Oz) for 4 months, etc. etc. Princess Bride was and continues to be an obsession. She does not have autism but, as I said, it is all on a continuum.
