Wow. What an opportunity to learn. I also hone in on many people now, some of whom I am certain are on the spectrum. It's moments like that that tell me how very much I have learned from my son. Compassion being one of the greatest.

Wow. What a great post.

"And I’ve learned that I don’t always have to be right." So true - I think that comes from maturity, wisdom and a gracious spirit.

That was very perceptive of you. I admit at this early stage of the game in adult I'll miss the signs that it's "one of ours".

Oh and having seen the size of you, how did the brown paper lunch bag not fit in the compartment? You are a teeny woman!!

What a great post. What a wonderful post. It hits home something important: most people will think when an Aspie/autie makes an observation about something, they have some kind of hidden agenda, are criticizing, or something, and pick a fight; instead of realizing they are only making an observation. I'm speaking from the Aspie side here - I've had people take issue with my "observations" many times and it's hard to learn that sometimes people just don't want to hear observations as interesting as they be to you lol. And hard to tell when its okay to make them and when it's not.

Hey Tanya do you have an email address ? I wanted to ask you something privately. Mine is KGoldfie@gmail.com Thanks
