Sense of Humor Intact

Nigel is now completely well. Generally, we don’t stay down long, but the reasons that I know for certain that he’s well are the following:

a) He is playing with Lego in the living room

b) When I ask him, before dinner, to pick up the Lego, he says this to me—

“Are you developing a sense of humor or am I going deaf?”

Granted, this is probably a line from a movie that I haven’t seen or don’t remember, but still. He’s definitely not sick anymore.

Nick would be playing up the “I’m still sick” even though he would be jumping around, having fun and playing whatever he wanted… hmmmm….

Glad all are better at your house and that you’re not sick……too.

That’s my favorite moment: When they feel well enough that I can smack them in the head after days of tolerating their whining. How nice of Nigel to make a smart@ss remark and give you a good reason to clock him one.

he’s definitely got a groucho marx style of humor. i’m trying to remember the line this reminds me of. groucho’s a doctor…checks a mans pulse…says, “Either this man’s dead or my watch has stopped”. Very Nigel-like.

glad he’s feeling better. hopefully that’s the last of the ailments for awhile.

what about you? i’m curious about your writing habits lately…what have you been up to?

Mama Mara – yes, I should have called this post “Sarcasm Intact.”

M – Glad to see you back online! I’ve been swamped with work lately, so blogging is the only writing I’ve been able to do. I love it, but I’m looking forward to fitting in some fiction, too. Maybe next month . . .
